After the ship's 2017 drydock refurbishment (August-September), Silver Cloud was transferred to the Silversea Expeditions. During the initial phase of its sailing career, the Silver Cloud traveled to various cruising regions, including Asia, the West Coast, Africa, and the Indian Ocean. They do have more premium suites like Owners suites, Medallion suites and Silver Suites which aremuch bigger but the main type of cabin is Veranda suites. Being an expedition ship it also has 18 zodiacs to take people out on the various excursions, and it has 10 kayaks.
Pasta and fish are reliably delicious, as are sauces and starches. The one downside of open seating is that what starts out perfect in the kitchen on a crowded night may not always arrive at the table the same way. The Panorama and Observation lounges are both finished with floor to ceiling windows and comfortable chairs just for sipping self-service drinks, listening to music or simply sitting and watching the sea go by.
